GHAP Manchester

Community Brand Identity

A vibrant identity refresh for a Manchester based Queer badminton group. This project involved reimagining an existing brand mark to improve technical quality and visual inclusivity, ensuring the group’s identity accurately reflects its diverse community.

Community Sports Group

GHAP is a community focused badminton group providing a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community in Manchester. I was approached to update their visual presence, as their existing assets were of a low technical resolution and did not fully represent the breadth of their membership.

The Challenge: To reconstruct a pixelated, non-transparent JPEG into a professional vector suite while modernising the colour palette. The goal was to move beyond the traditional rainbow to a more inclusive representation of the pride movement.

The Solution: I rebuilt the brand mark from the ground up, ensuring it was scalable for everything from social media to large scale event banners. The updated colour scheme incorporates the Progress Pride flag, specifically including the trans and marginalised community colours to reinforce the group’s commitment to total inclusivity. Alongside the logo, I developed a series of high energy promotional merch and posters for upcoming events and tournaments.

This identity refresh was completed as a freelance project for GHAP Manchester. All logo designs and promotional materials remain the property of the group.
